Model Employee Patch 1.03

Patch 1.03 for Model Employee includes fixes for minor bugs in the credits sequence and typos throughout the script.

Model Employee 1.03 for Linux will be uploaded later today.

Known Issues and Workarounds:

Some players have reported issues where quicksaving/loading at a decision point might result in a state where choices for progress don't appear.

If you encounter this bug, you can always access the Pause Menu by pressing ESC. From there, you can use the LOG feature to rollback the game to a previous line of dialogue.

Gameplay should proceed normally from here.

Some players encounter a gray background and frozen text their first time booting up the game and pressing New Game.

It should still be possible to make a save in this state, load that save, and proceed normally.

Alternatively, you could restart the game and on your next time pressing New Game, you shouldn't encounter the gray background.

Some players have encountered a crash after the Made In Unity splashscreen upon booting up the game after changing game resolution/window state on a previous session.

Players have reported that deleting their Model Employee Settings.json file and/or restarting their computer resolves this issue.

On PC, you can find your Model Employee Settings.json file in C:\Users\YOURPCUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Nth Circle\Model Employee\NaninovelData\Saves

If you encounter one or more of these bugs and can reproduce them, please reach out to us so we can reproduce the bugs on our end and diagnose the issue.

So I encountered a bug where after the Made In Unity splashscreen is done the game is stuck on a gray screen and doesn't do anything. What fixed it for me was getting rid of the saves in the save folder:

C:\Users\YOURPCUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Nth Circle\Model Employee\NaninovelData\Saves

In my case I just moved all the saves to another folder. Afterwards, I started the game to make sure it works. After that, I closed the game and then copied my most recent save back into the folder. I also renamed the save from "GameSave069.json" (no, this is not a joke) to "GameSave001.json". Finally, I booted up the game, and it seems to run fine.

I should also mention that I think the version I am running is before patch 1.03, so I'm not sure if this method would work for it. With that being said, the bug I was encountering still occurred with both versions, so yeah. Maybe I made too many saves?

Sorry that you encountered this bug, but thanks for reporting in. We'll run some tests on how the number of saves affects game performance.

No worries. I was able to get around it anyway, so it didn't affect the experience. The game was fantastic, and I can't wait for any other games you all develop!

(I don't speak English very well, this is a machine translation, I hope it's understandable.) The first time I started the game I encountered frozen text, although the other buttons can be clicked, but when I clicked on the archive and tried to save it, it would get stuck and not move ...... It doesn't matter how many times I restart it.

(Still machine translated) After several restarts of the game didn't work, I restarted my computer.

The first attempt still froze the text, I clicked quick save and then the whole game got stuck. Then I closed and restarted the game again and the text actually worked ...... I couldn't figure it out, but it's finally playable.

We're sorry that you had difficulty getting the game started. Thank you for taking the time to write and translate your experience for us!

We hope you enjoy playing Model Employee!
